Woman drowns son, commits suicide

KARACHI:

In what appears to be a case of suicide, a mother and her young son have died after drowning in a water tank in Karachi's Orangi Town area.

The deceased's father-in-law said he went to the market for some errands, while Faiza stayed at home with her seven-month-old baby.

When he returned, the two were not in their room.

After searching the entire house with other family members, he discovered their bodies in an underground water storage tank.

Police are probing the incident to confirm the cause of death.
