Teenage Angst: Boy commits suicide

Police claims that the post-mortem report also declared it a suicide case.

A teenage boy died in hospital on Tuesday after attempting suicide by self immolation on Tuesday.



Police sources said 16-year-old H* poured petrol over himself and set himself on fire because his girlfriend would not answer her phone when he called.

She had previously refused a marriage proposal from the boy. He suffered 70 per cent burns and was taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), where he later died.  A Bhara Kahu police official told The Express Tribune that the deceased was an intermediate student. He said the post-mortem report also declared it a suicide case.
