Supply chains: Management training initiative launched

Firm to provide training and short courses for industries.

KARACHI: The Supply Chain Capacity Development Initiative (SCCDi) has been launched in Karachi to provide supply chain training by professionals in Pakistan. SCCDi is a professional training and consultancy firm focusing on supply chain management and allied subjects.

SCCDi is offering various short courses for the industry; tailor-made courses for members of professional bodies like Karachi Wholesale Grocers Association, All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, surgical goods manufacturers; and professional certifications for individuals. The trainings will be managed by SCCDi CEO and founder Younus Siddiqui, along with Humayun Ansari.

The launch event was attended by supply chain professionals from industry’s leading companies and institutes, including Engro Foods, L’Oreal, Pakistan State Oil, Tetley Clover Pakistan, Agility, Lotte, Master Motors, Philip Morris, Reckitt Benkiser etc. Supply Chain Association of Pakistan (SCAP) President Qayser Alam was the chief guest. He fully supported the initiative taken by SCCDi and emphasised the provision of professional training opportunities to the local populace.

Siddiqui has 22 years of experience in the field of logistics and supply chain management, having worked in leading roles with renowned companies such as Engro and Unilever. Addressing the gathering, he said: “We will strive to be recognised in the industry as the benchmark of supply chain certification.”
