Police names two suspects who allegedly helped Shahrukh Jatoi escape
Investigators say they are yet to arrest the two suspects named.
KARACHI:
Investigators probing the Shahzeb Khan murder case, have named two more suspects Nawab Ali Jatoi and Khurram who are believed to have helped Shahrukh Jatoi travel to Dubai.
Police sources disclosed to The Express Tribune that Shahrukh had revealed names of two people who had allegedly helped the main suspect escape Karachi on false papers after Shahzeb’s murder.
The police though said that they were yet to arrest the two suspects who have been included for obstruction of justice under section 224 and 225 of the Pakistan Penal Code, Express News reported.
Investigators are expected to submit a supplementary charge sheet at the next hearing of case in court.
FIA launches inquiry
The FIA has launched an inquiry and suspended two of its officers who were on duty when Shahrukh Jatoi managed to slip through allegedly on false documents.
The inquiry will seek to determine how did Shahrukh manage to get through imigration and whether any of the officers were involved.
