Strengthening ties: PM embarks on UK visit
Election will be held on time and according to the schedule says PM.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that fair, free and timely elections were the real destination of the government.
Talking to newsmen at Noor Khan Airbase before departure on his first official visit to the United Kingdom, he said all political parties and stakeholders were unanimous that the election will be held on time and according to the schedule. The prime minister, who called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore Friday night, said he discussed the current political situation and the election schedule at the meeting. Referring to his first four-day official visit to UK, he said that the trip will will further enhance the existing friendly relations between the United Kingdom and Pakistan. The prime minister said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with the UK, which is an important member of the European Union.
