LAHORE: Leaders of the Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Unity Group have claimed to have won in 12 of the 16 districts where party polls have been held and predicted success in the Lahore elections scheduled for Monday.

Addressing a convention, Ahsan Rasheed, the Unity Group’s candidate for PTI Punjab president, said that the group was on course for victory in the province.

He said that the PTI would defeat the PML-N and the PPP in upcoming general elections. He urged all party workers to work hard to mobilise support for the party in the general polls.

In power, the PTI would curb poverty and unemployment, he said. He criticised the Punjab government’s performance.
