Protest: Faisalabad division lawyers boycott LHC Bar elections
Protestors say a lobby in LHC Bar Association was opposing their demand for setting up a bench of LHC in Faisalabad.

All four District Bar Associations (DBA) of Faisalabad division on Saturday agreed to boycott the upcoming Lahore High Court (LHC) Bar Association elections.
Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot and Jhang bar associations have declared that their members will not vote to elect office bearers of LHC Bar Association.
The DBAs have decided to lock all courts in the division for a week to press their demand of establishing a bench of LHC in Faisalabad.
The boycott decision was taken during a divisional convention of lawyers. Mian Javaid Iqbal, the Faisalabad DBA president later led a protest march on University Road.
The protestors said a lobby in the LHC Bar Association was opposing their demand for setting up a bench of LHC at Faisalabad.
They vowed to continue their protest. If their demands were not met, they would resort to an indefinite strike, they said.
