Condemning Violence: Lawyers protest target killing
Sindh High Court Bar Association also announces to observe a strike at the high court against target killing.
KARACHI:
Lawyers boycotted legal proceedings at the subordinate courts to condemn the target killing of their colleague, Mian Muhammad Tariq, on Saturday.
As the lawyers demanded arrest of the killers, the boycott affected legal work at the city courts and Malir district courts.
Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court Bar Association also announced to observe a strike at the high court against the incident.
Lawyers all over upper Sindh, including Sukkur, Rohri, Pannu Aqil, Khairpur, Larkana, Shikarpur, also boycotted courts on Saturday.
The protesters in Sukkur alleged that the killings of the lawyers were part of a conspiracy to bring unrest in the country.
