Anti-dengue drive: 150 workers to be trained in use of fogging equipment

More than 150 workers (125 sanitary workers and 44 public health workers) will be trained how to use vehicle-mounted and shoulder-mounted machines to spraying insecticide during the anti-dengue campaign, Dengue Control Programme focal person Dr Ahsan Asad told The Express Tribune on Friday.
The training, he said, will begin on February 10.
He said currently the Health Department was fixing 15 foggers to vehicles, while maintaining 61 manual shoulder-mounted machines.
The participating departments had already been briefed on the drive, he added. A report on the preparations will be sent to the district coordination officer on Saturday (today). He said a weekly report will be sent to the district administration as well.
He said the Punjab government had not yet given a date for the beginning of the drive, but all arrangements for it had been almost completed.
