Officials of Pakistan Customs and provincial wildlife departments attended a one-day training workshop on helping curb wildlife smuggling.

The aim of the workshop was to spread awareness about the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species and to train those manning the country’s exit points to identify rescued species, to diagnose diseases as well as use scientific methods to release the birds back to their natural habitat. The event was held in collaboration with Federal Board of Revenue, WWF-Pakistan, Ministry of Climate Change and Falcon Foundation International Pakistan.
