Impersonation: Drug court head lodges case against predecessor
A document from the AG’s Office, attesting that Malik had withdrawn two months’ salary, was attached to application.
LAHORE:
Syed Akhtar Hussain Zahid, the chairman of the Drug Court, has filed a complaint against Aziz Ahmed Malik, his predecessor, accusing him of drawing his salary and pretending he is still heading the court.
A case has been registered at Civil Lines police station for impersonating a public servant and wearing the garb or carrying a token of a public servant.
According to the content of the complaint, Malik, while he still headed the court, had moved it from Katcha Lawrence Road to Shadman. After he was removed, some two and a half months ago, the official furniture was taken back to the Katcha Lawrence Road office.
But according to the complainant, Malik had retained an official stamp, drawn two months’ salary as head of the court, and still told people he was chairman of the court. A document from the AG’s Office, attesting that Malik had withdrawn two months’ salary, was attached to the application.
