This is a second life: Malala
In a video statement released on Monday, she says she is better now due to everyone who prayed for her.
LONDON:
Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head by the Taliban for campaigning for girls' education, said she was getting better in a video message released on Monday.
"Today you can see that I am alive. I can speak, I can see you, I can see everyone and I am getting better day by day," said the 15-year-old in the statement made before she underwent surgery on Saturday to repair her skull.
“It’s just because of prayers of people, because of all the people men, women, children, all of them have prayed for me and because of these prayers that I am better,” she thanked.
“This is a second life. I want to serve these people and for this we have organised Malala fund.”
Malala further said she wanted to see every child of Pakistan get educated and for this purpose, quality schools would be established in the country from the "Malala Fund".
