Shahzeb murder case: Are suspects too influential, asks CJ
FIA director submits report, says prime suspect Shahrukh fled the country with fake passport.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry questioned on Monday why the law in the Shahzeb Khan murder case is not being able to finds its way, reported Express News. “Are the suspects too influential?” he questioned.
The chief justice, hearing the murder case, also asked authorities to submit footage of Express News programme in which Sikandar Jatoi, father of prime suspect Shahrukh, was interviewed.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Azam Khan presented a report to the court and stated that Shahrukh fled the country on December 27 along with his brother’s friend and had travelled with a fake passport under the name Syed Shahrukh. Justice Gulzar Ahmed questioned how Shahrukh obtained his ticket when he had a fake passport.
The chief justice also inquired how cameras and computers at the airport failed to locate Shahrukh while he was leaving the country. He also maintained that Sikandar had lied to the police during interrogation that his son left the country on December 25 and asked authorities to initiate action against him.
The hearing was adjourned till February 13.
