Travelling illegally: New case registered against Shahrukh Jatoi
Prosecution accused him of leaving the country with the help of some immigration officials.

A new case has been registered against the main accused of Shahzeb Khan’s murder, Shahrukh Jatoi, for travelling illegally out of the country.
On Saturday, an additional district and sessions judge, West, Abdullah Channa allowed an investigation officer of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) anti-human trafficking circle to interrogate Shahrukh for one day. The new case against him has been registered under the Passport Act 1974.
According to inspector Saeed Ahmed Memon, the anti-human trafficking circle of the FIA had booked Shahrukh in FIR 26/2013 under sections 419, 429 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code read with sections 3, 4 and 6(1) of the Passport Act 1974.
The suspect will be formally arrested in this case and interrogated to complete the investigations, he said. Therefore, he may be allowed to visit the juvenile prison, where he is being kept, to complete such legal formalities, he explained.
On January 30, the anti-terrorism court, which had remanded the suspect into judicial custody, had also allowed Memon to formally arrest Shahrukh in the new case.
According to the prosecution, Shahrukh had entered Dubai on December 27, 2012, as per the Dubai Immigration entry stamp affixed at his passport (AC-5304552). However, no stamp of Pakistan immigration of the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, was found on the passport, which confirms that the accused left the country fraudulently through deceitful means with the help of some officials, including FIA immigration staff working at the airport. Shahrukh did not receive proper clearance from immigration, stated the FIR.
Moreover, the passengers manifest of flight number EK-605, which left Karachi at 5:40am on December 27, 2012, did not confirm Shahrukh’s name as one of the passengers. The FIR further said that Shahrukh must have travelled to Dubai on someone else’s boarding pass.
