No respite: Five men gunned down
Two suspects were apprehended shortly after they pulled the trigger.

At least five people, including a 50-year-old doctor, were killed in separate acts of violence across the city on Sunday.
Two armed men entered the Memon Medical Centre in Siddiqabad and fatally injured a general physician. The victim, identified as 50-year-old Ismail Surya, was a resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The suspects shot him in the neck and chest. Surya later succumbed to his wounds while he was being provided medical aid. Gulberg SSP Amir Farooqui told The Express Tribune that a case has been registered against unidentified men and the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained.
In a separate incident, 32-year-old Sohail Kareem was shot dead and his friend, Rafiq Aziz, was injured when unidentified men shot at them in Hussainabad, within the jurisdiction of the Azizabad police station. Law enforcers said that the victims were drug addicts and the incident might have occurred over a personal dispute. Kareem had also been arrested before by Azizabad police for illegally possessing a weapon, they added.
In another incident, a factory worker, identified as 31-year-old Ramzan Wahid Buksh, was shot dead and his uncle, Siddiq, was wounded when they resisted an attempted robbery. Two armed men had entered their house in Shafiq Morr, within the jurisdiction of the Federal B Industrial Area police station. But the suspects were caught by a crowd that had gathered outside the house shortly after the incident and started beating them up. The suspects were then handed over to the police. Two pistols and two cell phones were found in their possession. The deceased and injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A labourer, 40-year-old Mujahid Khan, was shot dead by two armed men near his house in Banaras, Orangi Town. SHO Tanvir Murad said that the victim hailed from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and might have been killed over a personal enmity.
The police also found the body of a young man from the bushes in Rasheedabad area near SITE B Section police station. The law enforcers said that the man, who has yet to be identified, may have been strangled to death.
