KARAK:

Four children and a woman suffered serious burn injuries when a fire erupted in a house due to gas leakage in Sahi Kort, Karak early Saturday morning.

A Takht-e-Nusrati police official said the incident took place at around 12:45am when Muzafar Khan’s family was asleep. The explosion resulted in a blazing fire, which engulfed the room and injured the occupants.

The injured were shifted to Peshawar due to their critical condition. They included six-year-old Aman, four-year-old Arsalan, five-year-old Irfan, a two-year-old and Muzafar’s wife.

Muzafar blamed the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited for gas leakages, which resulted in the fire.
