Court security: ‘Lawyers must submit to checks’

LAHORE:

Police and Lahore Bar Association representatives will meet here on Thursday to discuss security at the District and Sessions Court, two days after a brawl between armed gangs left four injured there.

SP Security Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani told APP that police would seek to set up more walkthrough gates to screen for weapons. He said that lawyers must cooperate with the police at security check points at the courts, as 80 per cent of lawyers did not listen.
