FUUAST Vice Chancellor appointed

Earlier, Dr Qaiser, the VC of Karachi University, was given additional charge of the FUUAST.

KARACHI: Professor Dr Zaffar Iqbal has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Monday.

President Asif Ali Zardari has approved his appointment while the notification in this regard is expected to be released today.

Prof. Iqbal born in Larkana in 1953 did his BSc and M.A from University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He did Ph.D in 1980. He was appointed as lecture in former Federal Urdu College in 1979. He has also been appointed as the acting VC of the FUUAST.

Earlier, Dr Muhammad Qaiser, the VC of the Karachi University, was given additional charge of the FUUAST. Prof. Iqbal will take as the charge of the VC after receiving the appointment notification.
