Pending honorarium: Trainee nurses boycott work
honorarium had not been paid to the trainee nurses since June 2012.
GUJRANWALA:
Nurses under training at the Civil Hospital boycotted work for several hours on Monday to protest against non-payment of honorarium for seven months. More than 150 nurses currently under training at the hospital boycotted work to demand payment of honorarium which they said had not been paid to them since June 2012. They took a round of the wards and shouted slogans against the hospital administration. They said the administration was being selfish and that it had deprived the nurses of their right. They dispersed and returned to work when the medical superintendent assured them that they will be paid next month.
