Condolence reference: Tributes paid to Qazi, Prof Ghafoor
A certain lobby is on a mission to change Pakistan’s true identity, says JI Senator Khursheed Ahmed.
ISLAMABAD:
Paying tributes to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders Professor Ghafoor Ahmed and Qazi Hussain Ahmed who died this month, former senator from JI Professor Khursheed Ahmed said the two leaders were in themselves an organised movement to end social injustices and bring about an Islamic revolution in Pakistan.
Among other politicians and columnists, Professor Khursheed was speaking at a condolence reference held on Sunday for the two deceased JI leaders.
“A certain lobby is on a mission to change Pakistan’s true identity. It was the need of the time to take forward the mission of the two leaders,” said Khursheed.
Chairman of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Raja Zafarul Haq said that both these JI leaders were never involved in any scandal of corruption in their political careers.
Referring to Qazi Hussain, the N-League leader said that he was gifted with special talents and his death deprived the nation and the Islamic Ummah of a great scholar and a politician.
