BANNU: Three power pylons were cut off by sharp blades, disconnecting electricity to more than five villages in the early hours of Sunday. According to Zinatullah, an official of Saddar Police, unidentified persons cut off three electric towers using blades in the jurisdiction of the police station. This resulted in power cuts at Shahbaz Ahmed Khel, Machan Khel, Ghoriwala, Kotla Shahi and Salema Qilla villages.  “The people also cut off the 11 KV transmission lines but did not take them away,” said an official, adding that the Peshawar Electric Supply Company officials will start repairs from Monday.
