Holy Prophet is benefactor of entire universe: Zardari

ISLAMABAD:
President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the teaching of Holy Prophet (PBUH) cannot be monopolised by a single school of thought and it cannot be allowed to impose upon others its particular interpretation of religion.
“Our Prophet is Rahmatulil Aalamin, the benefactor of the entire universe,” he said addressing the concluding session of National Seeratun Nabi Conference at the Presidency on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi the other day.
According to prepared text of his speech, the president said that it is against the spirit of the teachings of the Prophet, if any individual or single school of thought seeks to monopolise them and attempt to impose upon others any exclusive interpretation of religion.
Unfortunately, the president said, this is what the militants and extremists are doing. “That is why we are fighting the extremists who wish to impose their agenda in the name of religion. We cannot allow it; we will not allow it. Let there be no doubt or mistake about it,” he continued.
