Second marriage: Man ‘kicks out elderly wife’
Bibi asked the court to direct the police to register a case against Riaz for marrying without her consent.
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge has set January 28 for arguments on a petition filed by an elderly woman seeking a case against her husband for getting a second wife without her consent.
Petitioner Parveen Bibi, 58, submitted that she had been married to Haji Riaz, 63, for 39 years and they had four children. She said that a few months ago, her husband started being rude to her and arguing with her over small matters.
Then a few days ago, he kicked her out of the house and married another woman. Bibi asked the court to direct the police to register a case against Riaz for marrying without her consent.
