On schedule: ‘Voter verification would end by Feb 1’
ECP completes 30 per cent of the voter verification that began on January 10.
KARACHI:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed 30 per cent of the voter verification process that began on January 10, said Sindh Election Commissioner Mehboob Anwar.
“We have almost finished the house count, and the verification process is going on as well. It would be finished by February 1.” While the ECP is doing its job, the defence ministry has failed to provide adequate security to its field staff, complained Anwar. “We have once again requested the ministry of defence to provide security to our personnel.”
