A fine of Rs100,000 and/or imprisonment of three to five years will be imposed on anyone who is found casting a fake vote in the upcoming general elections, stated a new bill drafted by the Election Commission of Pakistan on corrupt practices.
According to Express News, a crucial meeting was held in Islamabad on Wednesday, headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim. The final draft of the bill was approved during the meeting.
