Dispute: Man shot dead ‘by nephews’
Police says he had been pursuing a murder case against his three nephews whom he accused of murdering their father.
FAISALABAD:
A man was shot dead on Sunday allegedly by his nephews over a murder case currently before a court. Balochni police said that Mulla, 60, a resident of Chak 150-RB, had had an enmity with his nephews Muhammad Salamat, Sharafat Ali and Ghulam Murtaza over a murder case. They said he had been pursuing a murder case against his three nephews whom he accused of murdering their father. Mulla’s family said that the suspects had threatened to kill him if he did not withdraw from the case. On Sunday, police said, Mulla was shot dead on his way home. Some passers-by told the police that the assailants were his nephews, who fled.
