The police had brought Shahrukh to an anti-terrorism court where the two eyewitnesses were present. The witnesses said that Shahrukh had opened fire on Shahzeb and killed him.
On being identified, Shahrukh said that his pictures have been showed on the media too much and the testimony of the witnesses is not important. The court recorded his statements.
Three other suspects of the case, who were earlier arrested, have already been identified by three witnesses.
Sharukh allegedly shot 20-year-old Shahzeb over a small argument and escaped to the UAEto evade arrest.
He was captured there and was brought back just today to Karachi where he was presented in the ATC that is hearing the case.
The Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of the case after reports stated that influential people were hampering the investigation and arrests in the open-and-shut case.

HATS OFF to CJP who took this case and now murderers are in the jail
The deplorable history of Pakistan's legal and judicial system suggests that this murderer will be on the roads very soon by manipulating the evidences, buying out or coercing the witnesses and creating doubts in the eyes of the legal process. I bet, seeking justice in Pakistan is still atleast 20 years from here.
@kHaN: Obviously you haven't (yet) suffered at the hands of a Jatoi! Prisons, courts and justice are for a reason, this is not an ideal world. If he has committed crime then he must be punished for it. These monsters must be taught a lesson before they hurt one of yours or mine again. No point in preaching humanity to these monsters.
Just heard shahrrukh is staying in Police rest house not actual jail. If the whole pakistani qom together cannot get justice for a single person then what do we expect; no wonder we are in such a bad place right now.
Justice will be done, once it has been seen that it is done and not before.
The accused should be given harsh punishment and justice should be done with Shahzeb. show him,how it actually feels to gun down anyone.
okay I have seen the pics media have shown of the alleged Shahrrukh jatoi arriving at karachi airport and the man looks nothing like the shahrrukh jatoi shown to us on tv before and the pics circulating. What is going on???
I hope he doesn't get life in imprisonment or death penalty. I see another Shazeb Khan in this young fella. He's got a whole life to spend and can become a good and peaceful person at some point. Every human makes blunders. Hope the judge and jury show some flexibility in his case and give him the possible minimum imprisonment.

Hang on, three witnesses earlier identified Siraj Talpur as the one who fired on Shahzeb; now two witnesses testify it was Shahrukh Jatoi ….? What’s going on?? Had surrender of Shahrukh in Dubai something to do with that??? The case is ruined already!

The Shahrrukh kid is being advised by some extremely good advisers and lawyers. Even the forged passport he took to Dubai had a name Nawab Jatoi not something random like Ali khan or kaleem mahmood etc. It's easy for him to say that Nawab Jatoi is his family name and thus was the name on his passport. Now the reason he gave for being identified is also often used in a lot of different courts around the world and is accepted in many cases etc.Hope he gets his due punishment. If he can murder at 18 wonder what he will do when he grows up.
