DIG prisons Nusrat Mangan while talking to The Express Tribune confirmed that Pahari was being released after being acquitted or securing bail in all cases registered against him. For the past four months he had been detained at the Central Jail, Karachi under maintenance of public order (MPO).
Pahari had been arrested by Crime Investigation Department's Anti Extremist Cell in March 2011 during a raid on his New Karachi area hideout.
Having been acquitted or secured bails in cases, Pahari had successfully petitioned against his detention in the Sindh High Court.

Politics of reconciliation. And how democracy is the best revenge. Bite the dust all of us.
As long as Karachi is being hammered, fractured, Balkanized, killed, looted, pillaged and plundered, the politicians are happy. They must extract their pound of flesh. This is even more sickening because the laws are moribund and decrepit. Salams for 2013
Release of Ajmal Pahari could have been one of the conditions that Altaf has put in front of Government for not participating in Qadri's long dhakosla.
He will make a good candidate for next governor Sindh if MQM's run in power continued -:)
If Malik Ishaq can get bail, Why not Mr. Pahari? our judiciary atleast dont discriminate among the criminals, everyone get bail..yay!
How can this happen? Acquitted and bailed in all cases, really?
What sort of SICK dysfunctional judiciary is this?!?? Chief Justice needs to intervene.
These thugs cannot be allowed to ruin of Karachi.
How can a man responsible for hundreds of murder be released? It is a disgrace for those who make laws, police, and courts that criminals like this find loopholes in the system and get released. No wonder things are so bad in the country, especially in Karachi.
A good candidiate for PM of Pakistan or some other important position. We Pakistanis welcome you with flowers and dhol baja.
So finally he must have paid up the due shares.
