By-polls: ‘ECP code of conduct will be used’

Wall-chalking slogans and the use of loudspeakers have also been banned.

KARACHI:
The code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan will be implemented in the by-polls scheduled for six seats in Sindh, said provincial election commissioner Mehboob Anwar on Friday.

The seats have been vacated by the MPAs who resigned over the dual nationality issue on December 1. Based on the new guidelines, no candidate will be allowed to set up camp near any polling station and those candidates contesting the election will not be allowed to provide transport to voters.

Wall-chalking slogans and the use of loudspeakers have also been banned.
