Eid Miladun Nabi: ‘Muharram-like security will be in place’

DCO directed the officials concerned to start patchwork on the route of the Eid Miladun Nabi procession.

LAHORE: The city government will get cases registered against people playing loud music or dancing in public on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (peace be upon him) on January 25, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said at a meeting with religious scholars here on Thursday.

“City District Government Lahore would register FIRs against people involved in un-Islamic activities like dancing to Indian songs on the occasion of the procession of Eid-Miladun Nabi (SAW),” said a press release from the DCO’s office. Mengal said this at a meeting to discuss security arrangements for the occasion.

The DCO also said that security would be kept as strict as it was for the Muharram processions He directed the officials concerned to start patchwork on the route of the Eid Miladun Nabi procession.
