These photographs were shared with Pakistani officials at the recent brigadier-level flag meeting in the Poonch sector, where the two countries discussed the multiple ceasefire violations, according to a statement by Indian army commander Lieutenant General KT Parnaik.
Parnaik further spoke of the supposed landmines and said, “These were discovered and we have uncovered these mines, they are Pakistani mines.”
India, Pakistan agree to ‘de-escalate’ border tensions
India’s army has reached an “understanding” with Pakistan to “de-escalate” military tensions in Kashmir after a recent deadly flare-up in the disputed border region, a military spokesperson told AFP Wednesday.
“An understanding has been arrived at between the two director-generals of military operations to de-escalate the situation along the Line of Control,” spokesperson Jagdeep Dahiya said in reference to the de facto border in Kashmir.

@Analyzer: Very likely, but just to be fair, I can't say for certain...at least not with the certainty that India seems to be blaming Pakistan. Seems too convenient to be true that the soldiers had their heads cut off...who can identify them now ? Anyways thats a sad way to die, whoever they may be.
@Nauman: Good post. Those articles clearly negate India's (and its trolls') disinformation campaign.
@Yoghurt lover:I really wound not mind being called a joker as long as the point is driven to our Pakistani friends. Not just here, references and analogies are given and parallels drawn when it becomes difficult to explain the facts or when the person to whom it is intended to does not understand. Regards P
Pakistan should take credit for this . Well done. If Indians intrude in our lands to kill innocent Pakistanis, these counter measures to stop them there and then should be commended
I can't see anywhere even in the NDTV video/images where it says 'Made in Pakistan' on the mines. Yes, the images were labeled with 'Pak ORD factory', etc., but the symbols don't have any discernible signs that point to Pakistan or to any country whatsoever...we only have the Indian sides word on this? And by the way, whats to say this isn't a previously recovered mine (before the previous ceasfire) that India isn;t showcasing right now ? Please be aware that it is widely reported that 2 Indian newspapers have alleged that the recent skirmishes have been instigated by Indian army's actions- apparently an 80 year old woman crossed the border to join her relatives without the Indian army's knowledge. This prompted them to open 'outposts' in the LOC in violation of the ceasefire and this in turn led the Pak army's first official attack (please check bbc article)
I am not saying Pakistan isn't responsible, but its highly possible India is for this one. BBC article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-20968217 The Hindu: http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/runaway-grandmother-sparked-savage-skirmish-on-loc/article4291426.ece
Interesting the Hindu 'clarified' the story after the Defense ministry gave them some 'clarifications': http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/loc-firing-defence-ministry-clarifies-the-hindu-responds/article4295321.ece Again, not judging, but makes you wonder...
@Gujjar: Or they were patiently watching all the modus operandi from PAK side and recording everything to play their cards when needed? it works well for India when pak is caught with hand in cookie jar on the India side of LoC rather than jumping their guns prematurely.
If you were the commander in the India LoC what will you do? Wait, and sooner or later the fruit will fall!. This is exactly happening here.
@Gujjar:
With such tensions on border the life of billions of people are in danger and you guys are having a laugh .. I find that really insensitive especially to all those Pakistani & Indian who're guarding these borders and have lost their lives. Ironically we are not able to detect when hundreds of people take over our villages in the Northern areas too especially in Upper Dir & Chitral etc.
@Khalid: Where in the article does it say that only 'one' landmine was found? Your paper published a close up picture of one - is this what you read into that?
@Gujjar
Perhaps they were rehearsing for the upcoming flag meeting.. LOL
@Analyzer: "Are these soldiers or cry babies? What will indian army complain about next, Pak army peed in their diapers and took away their pacifiers?"
It is exactly this brazen attitude that we can violate ceasefire whenever we want and get away with it , that has enerated such strong reactions in India.
@John B
The mines were made in PAK ordinance factory.
That is too direct an allegation. Lets say it was made in PAK denial factory.
@Yoghurt lover Regarding your comment. Most Indians commenting Pakistani newspapers are in fact jokers. But they have no sense of humor. They suck.
@Ahmed: Lol, good one!. One thing more, what was Indian Army doing at the time when Pakistani army was planting landmines? ( sleeping or drunk i guess or may be they were waiting for them to plant those so that they could take pictures after that.) Get a life India.
The mines were made in PAK ordinance factory.
Are these soldiers or cry babies? What will indian army complain about next, Pak army peed in their diapers and took away their pacifiers?
@Ahmed: "where they expecting flowers ???"
Please read. These were Pakistani mines on Indian side of LOC. That is an example of violation of casefire.
@whats in the name
If you ever want to make a point, please don't give examples from Bollywood. No person with an iota of seriousness and honesty will laugh at you for giving example of extremely stupid bollywood.
I am saying this as an Indian.
Please be serious from next time onwards, or u will appear as a joker.
where they expecting flowers ???
Wow.. recovering mines is one of the most dangerous and time consuming thing.. and they detected one mine underground in such a long LOC... bow down to Indians...
Unfortunately in this present milieu, when technology and inventions are out pacing everything else. Gone are the days when one could Violate and not get caught. The going only gets difficult. As there was this popular dialogue in the Bollywood Movie Jism, There are 100 ways of committing a crime and there are 101 ways of getting caught. The sooner Pakistan realizes these realities, the better it is for peace. Rgds P
As usual,Pakistanis will say its not enough evidence and brush away,but they want the world to believe their Afghan weed induced conspiracy theories......
