Did you know? Aishwariya Rai Bachchan in Karan Johar’s next film
Aishwarya was pleasantly surprised with the offer: Source
The Student of the Year director has reportedly discussed a new movie with Aishwariya Rai Bachchan during a party thrown by Mukesh Ambani.
A source told Mid Day: “Aishwarya was pleasantly surprised with the offer. They spoke at length about the movie that he intends to direct next. The script is currently being written. He intends to start the project by the year-end.”
The 39-year-old actor, who has not signed any films since becoming pregnant with her first child, is said to have discussed other projects with directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajkumar Santoshi. Aishwariya took part in a photo shoot for an undisclosed Indian jewellery brand in August and features in Dabboo Ratnani’s 2013 Bollywood calendar, reports digitalspy.co.uk.
Rai Bachchan, who was confirmed as the new International Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS in September 2012, has said she is committed to using her free time to raise awareness of issues relating to the prevention of the HIV/AIDS virus in children. Critics remain sceptical of whether or not this ex-Miss World will be able to shed all that post-pregnancy weight and be re-crowned a diva.
