KARACHI:

Senior members of the Tahaffuz-e-Azadari Council condemned an incident on Sunday where Sindh Infromation Minister Sharjeel Memon and Sindh Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Haque were ‘treated rudely’ by angry protesters.

In a joint statement issued here on Monday, they said the people involved did not belong to their community and were working on someone else’s agenda.

They said that they were the mourners of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (Pbuh) and respect everyone who visits them. They said that they were thankful to the provincial ministers who had come to show solidarity with them.

They said that the ministers continued to share grief despite the fact that some people had resorted to ‘a rude attitude’ when they came to visit them. They said that Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza and Sharjeel Memon were in touch with them despite the unfortunate incident.

They said that they were thankful to them because they fully cooperated with them when Quetta’s injured had to be transferred to hospitals in Karachi.
