Speeding vehicles: Four-year-old run over by car
Protestors blocked the Sialkot-Pasrur Road and demanded police register a case against the driver.

A four-year-old was run over by a car on Sunday while he was crossing a road. Rescue officials said that Constable Mateeur Rehman’s son Muhammad Ismaeel was on his way home from school with some children from the neighbourhood when a speeding car ran over him near Sialkot-Pasrur Road. Rescue officials were informed and the boy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The family and neighbours protested against traffic police for their failure to control speeding drivers, especially those in residential areas. They blocked the Sialkot-Pasrur Road and demanded police register a case against the driver. They later dispersed after a case was registered against the unidentified driver.
