Road accident: Bus falls in ravine, three killed

The incident occurred due to the dereliction of the driver: Police

Three persons were killed and another injured when a mini bus veered off from a wooden bridge in Balkanai area of Shangla district late Friday. The incident occurred around midnight when a cement-loaded vehicle, heading to Larai from Balkanai area, fell into deep ravine, said SHO Mustafa Khan of the Karora police station. Two persons were killed on the spot while two others were injured in the accident. The official added that after the incident the police rushed to the site and with the help of the residents, retrieved the bodies. Police shifted the bodies to a local hospital, where the doctors referred two of the wounded to Saidu Sharif Hospital Swat. One of them, however, succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. “The incident occurred due to the dereliction of the driver,” Khan added.
