New partnership: Media, social sector join force on rights
MoU focuses on scope of involvement of both parties in creating public awareness, promoting research.
Press Council of Pakistan (PCP) and Women’s Empowerment Group (WEG) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday for promoting media ethics on human rights, particularly women rights.
The MoU focuses on scope of involvement of both parties in creating public awareness, promoting research and media development, capacity building, community mobilization and policy reforms related to press freedom and right to information.
Both parties also agreed to become strategic partners and collaborate on social development and media ethics related issues, while particularly emphasizing those related to women rights.
