The protest in Karachi was staged at Karachi Press Club, while the protest in Islamabad was held at F-6 Supermarket. A demonstration was also held at Lahore’s Liberty Chowk.
Meanwhile protesters gathered in Quetta under the Unity council continued their sit-in at Alamdar road for a second successive night, vowing to remain there till the situation improves.
Political parties support protesters
Political parties also came out to express support for Quetta's under attack community.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement said on Saturday that it supported the Hazara community's plea for giving Quetta under army control. "If army control is not legally possible, then give Quetta under governor rule," MQM's Raza Haroon said in a press conference in Karachi.
They also called for the chief justice to take notice of the situation.
Haroon added that a delegation of the MQM's Rabita Committee will visit Quetta tomorrow and meet with members of the Hazara community.
In Lahore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan joined protesters gathered outside Punjab Governor house.
Imran voiced solidarity with the Hazara community and announced that he will also be visiting Quetta on Sunday.
Meanwhile Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif urged the government to evolve a viable strategy for elimination of terrorism.
In a statement he said that incidents in Quetta and Swat are very tragic.
Pakistani twitter users also generated trends #ShiaGenocide and #WeAreAllHazara to express solidarity with the minority community.

Picture by twitter user @mightyobvious shows the protest held in Islamabad against the Shia killings
Quetta sit-in continues, bodies decomposing
The Shia community's sit-in entered the second day as members braved cold and rain as they sat on Quetta streets with coffins of those killed in Thursday's deadly bombings, demanding that the military seize control of the provincial capital and protect the Muslim minority community.
Shia leaders also told Reuters they would not allow the victims of two bomb attacks in Quetta on Thursday to be buried until their demands were met. After the passage of two days with lack of response from the government, the bodies started decomposing.
Express News correspondent Arif Mahmood reported even as the protest continued into the early hours of Saturday, the protesters had been in negotiations with the deputy commissioner and FC personnel.
Husnain Baloch, a local at the protests told The Express Tribune that people were staging a sit-in on Alamdar road, near Thursday's blast, braving heavy rain and cold.
MNA Syed Nasir Shah, talking to Express News lashed out at the government for being incapable of hindering the terrorists. “Either the government has failed or it is supporting them [terrorists],” he said.
Calling in the army
“The government machinery has failed, there is no protection for people in Quetta,” local Shia party official Hashim Mausawi told AFP.
“We will not end our protest until we get an assurance that the Pakistan army will take over security and administrative control in Quetta.”
Senior administration official Hashim Ghilzai told AFP, “We had discussions with them until late last night and I am now going there to resume negotiations with them today. We are trying to convince them to end the protest.”
It was up to the government to decide if it wants to call in troops, he added.
A Shia Muslim leader publicly criticised Pakistan Army chief General Ashfaq Kayani over the security in the country.
"I ask the army chief: what have you done with these extra three years you got (in office)? What did you give us except more death?" Maulana Amin Shaheedi, who heads a national council of Shia organisations, told a news conference. His statements highlighted Shia community's frustrations with Pakistan's failure to contain militant groups who have vowed to wipe out Shias.

@Naseer Ahmad:
Why to be afraid of when constitution clause 234 has allowed for calling Army in aid of civilian govt ?
This is the only institution which will stand to save the country as all these politicians will packup & runaway...no, no NOT this time..insha Allah. Peoples court will hang them & their supporters....
Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudry should be removed from his postion for failing to take suo moto action against killing of shias in quetta. Occupy Supreme Court Movement to be initiated.
Guys we deserve this we elected this government who are responsible for every worst thingy happening. Now wait till you lose everything I mean everything.
yes!!! this is "just Sad""
what do u expect attacks were carried out by laskar e jangvi that has very close ties with PML N rana sana ullah has seen with leaders of lashker many times, do u think pml n supported govt will do anything against its illigitimate child?
@G.A.: We are Muslim first!!! This is the root cause of all your problems. Be HUMAN first... you will see that all your problems, of this kind, will disappear..
These types of genocide will continue till the merciless attitude imported from KSA/UAE/USA in last 35 years exists in the minds of armed forces, its agencies, civil administration and forces is there.Planers are happy Muslim slaughtering Muslims by labeling each others Kafir what a religion/believes we are practicing.
@Zzzz: "You go and mind ur own business."
Mr. Zzzz : Sorry to say that hate , and killing based on intolerance of religious faith can not be a internal matter or business of a country. It affects every body including neighboring Indians. The height of intolerance is at its peak when a comment( which may be likable or unlikable) becomes intolerable.
@mahakaalchakra: On a Serious Note you are definately right !brother most of my hazara shia tribe has migrated to Iran and India...
Such a huge tragedy. Government seems to be totally incompetent. A strict military action needs to be taken and these terrorists need to be wiped out completely. If the present government does not have guts to take this decision, they need to just leave and put an interim government in place. This madness cannot continue. If a decisive action is not taken, repercussions would be even worse.
@Voice of D.I.Khan:
Its the 'real' Muslims that are in minority in Pakistan!
ages ago a criminal gang made me to leave my birth place, I had hope to see her again. but Yaro, after this slaughter of innocents Shias in Quetta, Lo Aaj Hum Todr Dia Risha e Umid.
@Realist Tanoli: When there is no one to help then people have to help themselves. Its time for Shias to wake up and instead of being treated like nobodies take matters in their own hands. Obviously there is no rule of law in Pakistan..anyone can get away with any heinous crime, so get up and take action!! Tit for Tat start target killing of LJ and SSP and Talibans. When oppression crosses the limit then destruction should start. Don't expect any goodness from This government, judiciary, police or army..they are all kings of corruption and shamelessness.
Its an open fact that Lashkare Jhangvi, Sipahe Sahaba are involved in the mass murders of innocent Shias in Pakistan. What more proof does the shameless Government of Pakistan, Police and the CJ of SC of Pakistan need. This silence and lack of action is a crime itself. These two terrorist organisations are openly engaged in carrying out shia killings and their leaders are proudly claiming the responsibility of these murders and still no action being taken. The shameless CJ takes suo motto actions in individual cases to gain cheap popularity but he is mum on this serious issue of Shia target killings that is going on since over a decade. The leaders of LJ and SSP and the Talibans be arrested and executed. Otherwise the Shias should wake up now as enough is enough and create their own Jehadi task force and make their own army for the safety of Shias and their future generations.
I literally have lost all hope now.. The country is no more than a sinking ship.. I fear, because people are fast losing their patience at the lack of justice to cruelties like these and soon people will be out on the streets taking matters in their own hands and then.. there would be total mindless anarchy everywhere, since the mentality of our qaum is to constantly hit axes on their own ankles the way they did on the so-called 'peaceful' protest against the blasphemous video. If revolution ever comes in Pakistan GOD FORBID, we'd all end up destroyed in a matter of days, the entire country from top till bottom will probably wipe itself out from the face of the map within a week.
Disgusted beyond anything by this horrific event. Heart goes out to the Shias..
Shia or Sunni Islam doesnt allow anyone to kill. Kaafir or not will be decided by Allah on the Day of Judgement not by Lashakare Jhangvi or ASWJ. This is a horrible incident of killing innocent Hazara people and the Balochistan government has lost it's constitutional right to rule and the shameless leaders and rulers in Islamabad and at Bilawal House just dont care because hey guess what it's DEMOCRACY and we the people of Pakistan whether Shia, Sunni or Hazara or liberals;whatever caste or ethnic status we belong to are we all are responsible for bringing these democrats to the parliament and doing this to ourselves as of today. Even Tahir ul Qadri wont bring any change until and unless we dont stand up for our rights by ourselves just like these our fellow countrymen from Hazara are doing because they are just sick of this and no matter what happens they should stick to this because if anything is going to change things around in this country it would be this WILL TO FIGHT AGAINST THE CORRUPT ELITE AND KILLERS AND MANIACS AND WE MUST STAND UP WITH THESE PEOPLE TO GET RID OF THESE HOOLIGNAS.
Pakistani Government using ARMY, ISI , FIA, MI, IB, Police for making political aims and goals for each other parties. All above security agencies are not for protecting citizen´s of Pakistan. Which is the biggest shame for them. In this case these security agencies should not exist any more.
please stand for a change. they have given us nothing except for the pain and surprisingly they are not leaving their palaces. it’s now or never
Even the reaper laughs at this nation ! Allah Please save my Pakistan, I beg you !
Hazaran brothers and sisters , We are ashamed and sorry for your losses nothing can bring back those people ,Allah knows how miserable and frustrated you feel ... i hope and wish the people who killed your innocents pay the heaviest price
I'm sunni and i believe that this is the worst. I believe government is involved in shia killing. I absolutely second the sit-in protest. Over 100 people killed and i feel terrible... I pray that hazara people get justice and the perpetrators should be publically hanged!
@mahakaalchakra: There is a limit of cutting jokes and those also at such a serious moment. One should at least keep in mind its recent and past records of brutality before making such suggestions. And everyone knows which foreign hands are behind all these acts of sabotage in Pakistan, and especially these recent ones.
What a shame for the entire 180 million population of Pakistan that their brothers and sisters with their kids, are protesting in Quetta since 2 PM of last Friday under minus 4 degrees C, with more than 7 dozen unburied corpses. And we are sleeping under our cozy houses. This is callousness at its worst. Mr. Chief Justice BHC and Mr. Chief Justice SC of Pakistan, hope you are aware of these miseries of the suffering community of Hazara tribe in Quetta. Wake up Pakistan, before its too late.
I am Shia I'm Christian I'm ahmedi I'm Jewish Only need to answer to Allah.. Not to any laskar shashkar
As the Army is busy protecting its housing societies and lording it over civilians, perhaps the time has come for us Shias to ask those who would truly stand besides us - the Hizbullah or perhaps the Pasdaran. Perhaps that will wake up the idiots at GHQ.
Its sad that i find more people here asking the SC for help OR crticizing it? What about the Provincial/Federal Government? Why not asking them these questions? y not holding them accountable ?
AND SC previously has taken Suo Motu of Balochistan Voilence but it is helpless as the Gov. has ti implement its decisions
Pakistan should be a secular country. We can put this on Pakistan Army all we want but unless and until we change our ways; nothing will change. Militant groups thrive on the mentality of an average uneducated Muslim on the street. We have kept quite for a long time now its time to fight back. People should understand that Shia/Ahmadis/Hindu/Christian/Sikhs living in Pakistan are not foreigners. They are our Pakistani brothers and sisters. Jinnah didn't create Pakistan just for Sunni Muslim. Matter of fact Jamiat e Ulema Hind was against the creation of Pakistan. Stop fooling the world. Terrorist hubs are not in tribal agencies. They are in 1. Mansoora 2. Muridke 3. Raiwind 4. Chiniot 5. Jhang 6. Mianwali 7. Dera Ismail Khan etc. We have to clean up all the banned organisations if we want to exist any further as a country. We need political will for that not the military might or CJ taking suo moto notices. Those are my 2 cents.
@Najam: We are literally at a point where we must bury our dead and prepare coffins for ourselves
Negative and defeatists thinking ! Why should Shias prepare coffins for themselves ? Why not for the genocidal killers of Shia ?
Sad.......But I love the way you all are protesting to push the Government. Your CM needs to stop joking and take some action.
Surely to Allah we belong and and to him shall we return .... Its a saddest moment ... Those responsible for such an inhuman act must be treated likewise ... My condolences to all the aggrieved. Its is a fact that the Hazara community is being targeted here. IMHO this could only end when we as a nation start thinking as a nation and mourn and condemn this brutality not only from a Hazara or a shia perspective but from a perspective of a human being. IMO if a human being is killed, be it shia or sunni or ahmadi or hindu or sikh or whoever, we should raise our voice against it and say "I dont want any HUMAN BEING treated this way in our country". Regardless of our religious beliefs we should be united against such acts of brutality.
I strongly condemn this senseless and inhumane act. But Where is the Government?????????
How about we find the pricks who are behind these attacks and put them in front of a firing squad!
@mahakaalchakra: only to get our daughters raped like the one in Delhi. No way sir thank you. You go and mind ur own business.
@Ammar: Your writing '..even minorities' in the end indicates your real feelings that minorities are somehow second grade as compared to Muslims in Pakistan. I know posters will now go ballistic defending your words and blasting mine, but your words don't lie. It's like writing the mother gave food to her two sons and even to her daughter. You could simply have written Shias and minorities without the word 'eve' but feelings come tumbling out.
I wish all Shias of Pakistan enter Pak-administred Kashmir (including Gilgit-Baltistan) and merge with Secular Republic of India in which almost 200 million Mulsims, living in peace and harmony with the rest of 1 billion human beings, are busy making their lives better.
Millions of Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus have sacrificed their lives and properties in the name of Pakistan since August 1946, call for Direct Action. Will it ever stop?
My heart bleeds for the innocents, whether Shia, Hazara, Baloch or Ahmadiyas, who are made victims of senseless voilence.
In an utter disappointment I have to say that I am ashed of such an army, my passport, my identity, my nationality and my heritage. Because I belong to a country where such genocides are palatable. Where people have the courage to see their innocent people cry and yet not to do anything. I really feel like going to all these lashkaris, talibans and try and take revenge for all the innocent lives lost.
If Pakistani army doesnt do anything. It wont be long until Pakistan becomes Somalia. And, like Somaliland, there will be smaller states wanting to make their own countries to break away from such a country where discrimination on the basis of religion is so well institutionalized.
If Pakistan doesnt become secular there will be more problems like these. God, make me the president for one day and I will "wipe" out such haters and make humanism the religion of this country!
Well shias have been executed throughout history Ummayads did it, Abbasids did it, Usmanis did it and now we have SSP and lashkar e jhangvi They will never realize that they cannot end us while so many powerful caliphs failed. As a shia I am saying this to the families of victims that sunni majority will never hear your demands nor do they have any soft spot for us infact no matter how much they condemn shia killings in reality they dont care, We are literally at a point where we must bury our dead and prepare coffins for ourselves while keeping zikar of Ahle bayt (a.s) alive like our ancestors did.
@Aijaz Haider: What do you mean apologize? You mean to say they should say "oops! sorry we killed 100 hazaras". Only way to eliminate these parasites is to identify them and eliminate them even if it means using drone.
Shias need security and justice. god Bless them
@ Aijaz Haider: “Lashkar-e-Jhangvi should apologise for this deadly attack.” and then why don't we invite them for a cup of tea at your place, to discuss matters further.
Only Taliban can never be the responsible for these killings and also Taliban can never be accused of every killing's event in Pakistan because between the disunity and enmity of two people or groups the third party or person or group takes the full advantage of the disunity and enmity between the two people or groups and completes its negative and harmful designs, motives and objectives.Because sometimes if the government is failed to trace and arrest the real culprits/miscreants then the government announces that Taliban has accepted this killing's responsibility to camouflage its demerits, failure and weaknesses so that the government could calm down the nation's anger but my these words never mean that Taliban are innocent and sinless and are not involved in any killings' events in Pakistan......
@ Jat
Plz keep your sick and demotivating thoughts to yourself. Army is working and sacrificing on both eastern and western borders. It is also helping the govt in many domestic issues even election commission stuff. In no country, it is job of Army to manage interior affairs but police and intelligence. Army is less in number, busy on many other fronts and sincere to nation thats why people keep hopes with them.
Anyways, dont worry, most ET users know who comments here in a SPECIFIC way and whats the agenda. May Allah bless our country with peace specially Shia brothers and even minorities.
We have the world's 7th largest army for what?
I was raised Muslim. I salute these individuals for taking stand. At -15 C with empty stomach, this is Jehad against tyranny. Does anyone remember Ghazwaye Khundaq. Even then muslim took stand against Tyranny.
I hope that makes our coward and spineless government do something. Although I guess they're more worried about Tahirul-Qadri's march at the moment than over a 100 innocent civilians losing their life. God forbid if they lose their month in the office.
@Huma: Give it a rest, where were you when they were killing non Muslims ?
Shame on all of us. Nobody is protesting kililngs of Hazars.
The government claims its got their nukes protected!! How can these incompetent people have them protected they can't even protect their innocent citizens.
It's time for the people of Pakistan to wake up and take a stand against terrorism. First take back your country from these terrorist and then from the incompetent fools running the country!!!
100 of my Pakistani brothers and sister have died in this massacre. There is not a peep from the Pakistani President or Prime Minister of steps they can take. It is a shame. I hope the Interim Government will be better.
I have an earnest request from the Web Admins of Tribune. Guys, please keep this story the frontline story on your webpage and your TV news material. Please stand with these helpless souls. You guys can surely do that... cant you? Please?
Mr. Cheap Justice,, No Suo Moto by Supreme Court..!!?? Is Justice one eyed...Are they not humans?, or are you afraid of the extremist Banned outfits?!!!
These people need our help, lets send them blankets, food, even messages of support for their struggle.
And beyond that, writing letters to MNA's, CJ, and Parliamentarians pressuring them to take immediate action to dismantle every violent terrorist organisation.
Its now time to take IMMEDIATE corrective action.
The time for sitting in silent apathy is over!
@Nael: Well said-Every person grieving here, there is another one jumping in joy.
it is not a big deal for pak army to control things in the country and in balochistan so now this the time to come forward and correct the whole sitchuation. I am with all QUETTA Protesters.
@Milestogo: "Those who spread violence can not be Muslims "
Those who support or sympathize the ideology to hate Shias / Ahmedis too are a part to spread the violence. By this count have you ever thought how many will stand as non Muslims?
From the core of my heart I thank our Sikh forefathers who decided to move to India and left their properties behind in a country where their first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born.
@Fareeha: No one is asking Army to back any caretaker setup. Everyone is asking them to do what they are supposed to do, i.e., fight the militants who roam openly and unchecked.
No one is going to save Pakistan except Pakistanis, no CJ, no Army Chief no PM no President when there is no consensus in the country about how to deal with these groups. Don't forget that for every person on this forum lamenting this tragedy there is another Pakistani dancing for joy because "infidels" have been killed. These people are in your parliament, in your judiciary, in your police, you schools, your mosques and in your Armed Forces. Without the consensus of at least the vast majority of society no meaningful action will be taken against the groups that spread terror.
Please pray for our fellow countrymen/women who are outside in the extreme conditions with the dead bodies of their loved ones. Ya mere Allah apna reham ker. aged parents don't want to see their children in pieces.
I am an indian..my heart is pounding please stop this for God/Allah's sake. Please go and console who lost thier family member
Alamdar Road is Tahrir square
I used to live in Quetta and these things were not even dreamed of.. I am confused... there is no one there to help the Hazaras.
"If a man kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (For ever): And the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him". Al Quran 4:93
Why do they call themselves muslims if they cannot understand this??
I salute these brave men and women for staging this honorable protest!
If only Maulana Tahirul Qadri were to do a Long March against the Lashkar e Jhangvi, we would all support him.
WHERE IS CJ OF PAKISTAN.....WHAT A BIASED COUNTRY WHAT A BIASED JUDICIARY...........THE JUSTICE OF ALLAH WILL PREVAIL SOON INSHALLAH...
@Syed: Yes you r right they may be less then 1%,rest there school of thought 25%,rest of Sunnis,55%,shia 20%, Sunni are also being targeted soon they will come to know that they r in minority
Army, What army? the one which cannot spot OBL? or the one which uses hafiz Saeed & co. as assets? The one which believes in good taliban and bad taliban? Or the one which has always been busy in toppling/destabilizing the Democratic process in this country?
Theres No one to help you here my brothers, NO ONE!
Look at the misery of people sitting besides dead bodies,CJ is silent, army insist with dialogue with killers of 100 s of people without any reason and scared of getting out of Cantt, CM in Dubai ,Zardari and cabinet fixed with Qadri,I think if they call for army and they are emphasising dialogue with criminals then is not there is a very legal demand that UN troops should come??
UN peace force should be deployed in Quetta, Kurram Agency & Gilgit to stop execution of human in Pakistan.....
Wake up UN & OIC....we need you in Pakistan....
Photos like these just break my heart every time I see them. Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters... taken away just like that, leaving behind loved ones to whom they meant the world. This madness needs to stop :(
Where is our Chief Justice now??? how come he takes suo moto notice of whiskey bottles found in certain political people's luggage but is blind to cold blooded murder of over 100 people?? Mr. CJ if you can move the police force to find murderers of Shahzeb then why are you so quiet on murder of so many other Shahzebs? Are they not somebody's sons, brothers or fathers?? Move against these barbaric killers now or one day they will show up at your door step.
@ naseer ahmad its not nawaz and zardari who would scream...time and again parties like anp and mqm have called for operation against these extremist elements all over pakistan! the only party that is sheltering them is PTI and their trolls!
@Enlightened: The Pak Army is busy protecting its plots, housing agencies and bakeries. They can request Iranian Army for help.
LJ and its supporters should be eliminated for ever. it is a murderous, terror organisation.@Aijaz Haider:
Why can't we get together and make love and not war!? Why can't we sit together and sing kumabaye? Why can't we kiss and make up? Why why whyyyy?
Sickening is all I can say. We preach hate in our madressas, and we know who these people are...yet our politicians, military, all are in-cohots for their own end-game.
When certain provincial government openly supports perpratators of these crimes, one can not see any end to it.
Media is coward to openly point out in the direction of who is doing what. They have pictures, videos.
@Aijaz Haider: "LJ should apologize'???? excuse me. What planet are you on? They need be eliminated from the face of the earth. This is War and this is mass murder. Do what it takes kill each one of them. No apology needed. and no negotiations here. This is the cancer of the worst kind and is not curable. Pakistan needs to use every resource at her disposal to get rid of these animals. People of Pakistan should rise against this and take arm into their own hands if need be, but GET RID of them asap.
why is it not a single channel reporting let alone the discussion....not even civil society...pakistan seems to be a nation of living dead ...i first saw this on an indian channel..shame on you guys
Watch the condemnatory messages from the Neros of the land. None of them has dared to come to Quetta so far.
It is a genocide in the name of religion indeed. Hazaras are most vulnerable community in Pakistan after Ahmadis. Army should impose Martial Law as PPP led government has failed miserably to restore peace in the country at all levels. An Army backed caretaker setup should immediately be installed to save Pakistan.
The question is ' why has the army allowed it to go this far ? '........not acceptable.
shame on pakistan shame on pak govt shame on pak people, if you dont raise your voice now, soon you will be the target just for being clean shaved !!!
This is 100 percent genocide of shia Hazaras.
what Pakistan army is waiting for, when it will come to stop these killing ??
Do you know any country of world where such type of deaths are taking place except Pakistan. What is our response on these deaths. We are hard hearted and insensitive Pakistanis.
I just happen to see the visual on Geo TV of men, women and children sitting in cold holding candles along with their dead relatives for military intervention which really made me feel very sad. Has the Pak govt and military no moral responsibility to give protection to these hapless people who are citizens of this country ? The only alternative left with these people is to arm themselves and fight the sectarian killers and Taliban rather than resign to their fate and the Almighty Allah would also help them to defeat the shaitans/kufrs.
I read many Articles today and most of the Media Called us(SHIA) MINORITY in Pakistan. I thought MUSLIMS are Majority in Pak... Am I wrong ????????
Don't forget that the situation in Balochistan worsened during the Military Dictatorship of runaway dictator General Pervez Musharraf when hundreds of Baloch men went "missing". Don't forget the daylight massacre of Akbar Bugti... The current rulers of Balochistan are either the protégés of General Musharraf (PMLQ Ministers and Governor Zulfiqar Magsi) and NRO-beneficiaries (PPP CM and his Army of Ministers). The only solution is a democratically elected and competent government in Balochistan!!!
somebody, please stop this!!! If it does not stop tomorrow it might be me.
@Azi: I agree with you. I apologise for my first comment.
@Aijaz Haider:
Apologize? I have a better Idea? How about it should be dismantled, members tried and no one should ever be allowed to attack a person just because he has different beliefs?
God is watching , time will come for these evils , they will suffer worst than this ... My heart is exploding I can't explain in words ... Blow out these evil people from my land
What a sad incident. The enemies of Pakistan and Islam are out to weaken Pakistan. All Pakistanis must join hands to defeat these dastardly designs. Let people live in brotherhood.
Are Shias not humans? Are they not Pakistanis? Why is their blood so cheap? Why are they being pushed against the wall, while our civilian government, army and the judiciary are mere spectators? Meanwhile our media raise a storm of hue and cry at the murder of a Karachite (which is also unfortunate), they are silent at the merciless killings of Shias.
This is no more tolerable or to be neglected. How long we will ignore our brothers' cries?...it does not matter whether we are shia or sunni...the only thing which matter is that first we are Muslims and others are our enemy only because of this fact of being Muslim. Now if we are being attacked by all the enemies from different sides and further more there is no one in the world who speak the word of truth and stand by us, then why not to call a spade a spade....let this pain and torment, from which we are going through, also be felt by those disguised aggressors who are not left with a bit of humanity and are worse than animals.
We should all contribute to eliminate these terrorists groups
@ Abid Plese do not endorse the demand for calling army in aid of civil administration to restore order and protect the vulnerable minority communities as the Zardari-Nawaz clique will ring alarm bells that their style of democracy is in danger.
@From USA: I agree with you. Ignore my first comment.
The ostrich strategy by our agencies and courts will not serve them for too long, and if they don't do anything to stop and destroy the coward monsters of LEJ and Sipah-e-Sahaba, then pretty soon all of us will be targets, it would be any of us including those who are in power who will be like the lamenting old man in the picture.
People (including me), do something, do little more than what you think your capacity is, do it with resolve.
lashkar e jhangvi is the militant wing of ahle sunnat wal jamaat aka sipah e sahaba, with whom PML-N has deep contacts with for handful of seats in Punjab. At the very least PML-N should be boycotted until they sever ties with them, the army should also realize that it is not only the tribal belt which is infested with militants but also the south punjab area,
Are you nuts Aijaz Haider or out of your mind claiming for an apology... This party should be banned and Govt should take an immediate action to destroy these evil roots from our country... I feel so bad for victims may God give abilty to bear this evil act for those who lost their love ones..
Can someone explain to me what is the % of these fanatics like lashkar e jhangvi, sipah e sahaba and ASWJ in Pakistan. Do we thinks 20% Pakistanis belong to these groups? We have at least 20% Shias in Pakistan even after all the killings. Can't 20% shias get together and try to eliminate these monsters themselves as government and agencies won't do it. I know Shia leaders don't believe in violence and would never attack a Sunni mosque or a sunni gathering. But can they at least find out who the leaders are for these groups and just go after them. They at least owe that to the innocent Shias of Pakistan.
Across the board operation !!!!!!!! All the way from Chitral to Karachi, and especially stopping in Jhang and Mansoora on the way !!!!!!!!
@Lalai
Not only Hazaras my brother, every Hussaini will pray for CJP if he take a suo-moto against Shiite Genocide in Pakistan.
I wonder what hinders CJ from taking a suo-moto when it comes to Shia genocide? When UN, IHRC, HRCP, EU and even Russia can take notice of brutal Shia killings in Pakistan, what is stopping CJP from taking a suo-moto?
Those who spread violence can not be Muslims.
@Lalai:
The SC has already taken up the case and declared Baluchistan govt has failed in maintainance of law and order etc, and has also failed as Per. Constitution, hence should not be almoneda to run, on this the govt and all supporters critised SC order.....implementation of SC is the responsibility of the govt, though SC can get its order implemented through intervention of Army as per constitución, but then it will be críticised.....so.tell me what should SC do ?
@2Cents: I agree with you.
@2cents i m with you on that bravo..
Pak should control the terrorist both within and without her borders. This kind of terrorism has no place in any civilised country. My prayers for the innocents (shias) killed.
@Lalai: God!!! really?
@Aijaz Haider "Lashkar-e-Jhangvi should apologise for this deadly attack."
What? I am shocked. Just an apology? Think better and long term my brother. Elimination should be the word.
Genocide of a peaceful but minority community continues in the land of pure. This was not the first and will not be the last cowardly attack against Hazaras in Quetta. Unlike others, I do not blame Government or her other LEA's for their failure to protect citizens because no such thing that is called a "Government" exists in the land of pure. Extremism has now deeply roots in Paki society there is no room for a moderate Muslim in the country. I can see a dark future for nuke country due to increasing extremism ideology in society.
Time for CJ to take action and delist security officials whose responsibility was to protect the area. Suspend the IG etc..... we need some massive changes in the system.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi should apologise for this deadly attack.
Their demand is valid ..not only army should come ..but this corrupt incompetent balochi government should be kicked out. Emergency in Balochistan must be imposed right now.
Respected CJ, Yesterday more than 85 SHAZEBs were massacred in Quetta. Please take notice of this incident and ask IGP Baluchistan to arrest the SIKANDER JATOI and TALPURs within 24 hours. You will get the countless prayers of more than 500,000 Hazaras who at this time doesn't seem to have any well wisher except GOD.
Such reaction was expected. There is limit to belief based atrocities. Earlier it was pointed out do not consider Shia as other minorities but no one paid heed to it. Now face the music as Shia leaders have all the rights to ask for accountablility and justice.
When will this now notoriously spineless government take these multifaceted threats of terrorism seriously? How do these terrorists gain access to bomb-making materials so easily? Why can't the police or our grovelling lawmakers protect potential explosive chemicals and materials, or perhaps prosecute these mass-murderers - the list of complaints is too long to produce here.
I honestly wish that the next administration plays closer attention to our problems than this incompetent, pathetic lot.
