Ambassadors’ fund: US to support Pakistani entrepreneurs
Olson highlighted NUST’s future centre for advanced studies, which will focus on Pakistan’s energy needs.
ISLAMABAD:
Ambassador of the US to Pakistan Richard Olson affirmed the US will continue to support the development of Pakistani entrepreneurs by all means, including the US Ambassador’s fund. “We all know that societies thrive when their people have ample opportunity, and this is why the US supports young entrepreneurs in Pakistan,” he said. During the visit to National University of Science and Technology, he announced that the US Ambassador’s Fund, which supports small-scale, high-impact programmes for communities throughout Pakistan, will now also focus on supporting Pakistan’s entrepreneurs. Olson also highlighted NUST’s future centre for advanced studies, which will focus on Pakistan’s energy needs, and was being established together by the governments of Pakistan and the US. “We look forward to promote entrepreneurship and innovation through the strong links each centre will have with the private sector,” he said.
