Remembrance: Hakim Said’s birth anniversary celebrated
Oxford Press Pakistan managing director Ameena Saiyid inaugurates the event remembering founder of Hamdard Pakistan.

The 93rd birth anniversary of Hakim Muhammed Said, the founder of Hamdard Pakistan, was celebrated by the staff and students of Hamdard Public School (HPS) on January 9.
The celebration began by offering Fateha, after which floral wreathes were laid at his mausoleum at Madinat alHikmah.
Oxford University Press Pakistan managing director Ameena Saiyid inaugurated the event. She praised the organisers for celebrating the birth of Said in such a befitting manner.
The students had set up 20 stalls in which various pieces of art work and handicrafts were displayed. A ‘food mela’ was also set up.
The president of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Sadia Rashid, and the vice-president of Madinat alHikmah, Fatema Munir Ahmed, were also present at the event.
