Anti-taliban agenda : Pamphlets call Taliban ‘foreign agents’
Pamphlet alleges that RAW, CIA and Mossad is killing innocent people and creating a negative image of Pakistan.
A relatively unknown organisation named Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Islam-o-Pakistan, distributed anti-Taliban pamphlets in various parts of the city, calling them ‘agents of foreign intelligence agencies’. According to the pamphlet, the Taliban, particularly the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan are stooges of foreign agencies. It also alleged that the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israel’s spy agency Mossad is killing innocent people and creating a negative image of Pakistan. The pamphlet further terms the recent attacks on polio workers, which the banned outfit had claimed responsibility for, as a ‘well-orchestrated conspiracy’ to get Pakistanis banned from travelling abroad for jobs and volunteer work. It asked the general masses to unite against militants who are putting the nation’s future in jeopardy. No contact numbers for the organisation were provided in the pamphlet.
