Unidentified assailants shot dead Ali Raza Naqvi, 27, in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Monday.
Police said that Naqvi worked as a cashier at a private bank in Gulshan and was on his way to his home in Buffer Zone when two men on a motorcycle shot him near a railway crossing. SHO Rana Haseeb said that the victim’s friend, Mohammad Raees, who was with Naqvi at the time, remained safe.
Naqvi was also associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s labour division, said Haseeb, before adding that the motive behind the incident was yet to be determined. The body was shifted to Jinnah hospital for autopsy.
