Illegal activities: 25 arrested in prostitution sting

“Prostitution operation” was carried under the name of a stitching centre for women.

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur police arrested 25 people on Sunday in a raid to a house in the Small Industries area. Kotwali Station House Officer Mohsin Sardar told The Express Tribune that the police was informed about a prostitution den. He said a house was raided from where 16 women and 9 men, including the owner of the house Allah Wasaya, were arrested. He said the police had received several complaints about him accusing him of running a “prostitution operation” under the name of a stitching centre for women. He said initial investigation revealed that the man had apparently been in the business for five years.
