On Saturday, two members of the Pakistan cricket squad turned up to administer polio drops to children at a specially held event in New Delhi, reported Radio Pakistan.
Batsmen Younus Khan and Imran Farhat came together for the "Bowl Out Polio" campaign in New Delhi, and administered polio drops to children.
As a symbol of their commitment to fighting polio‚ the Indian and Pakistani teams will be sporting ribbons with ‘Bowl Out Polio' inscribed on them when they come out for the third and final One Day International in New Delhi tomorrow.
The electronic periphery boards at the Ferozshah Kotla grounds will also flash the message of "Bowl Out Polio".
Joining the teams to appeal for polio eradication will be about 100 children on the stands wearing yellow jackets with polio messages. The ‘4s' and ‘6s' cards waved by the crowds will also read "Bowl Out Polio".

pakistan crickets are really very good ambassadors and great entertainers
Ironical, as well as, a good thing.
A good thing because its a good thing. Ironical because if they do this in their own country, there is a good chance they will be killed by the Taliban, like it happened recently.
We congratulate the Pakistani cricketers for their kind gesture of helping with the Indian polio campaign titled “bowl out polio”. We are elated by the news that the polio eradication program has restarted in Pakistan after it was put on hold last month due to the terrorist attacks on polio health workers last month. Polio is a life crippling disease that is infectious. Polio drops are administered during early childhood to protect children and stop the spread of this crippling disease. We cannot let the terrorists dictate matters that affect children all over the world.

Appreciate the gesture dear pakis. Thank you very much.
@Jahanzeb Zafar: Excellent reply. The pessimist commentators will never realize!! They are as blind as a bat.
@Dev, Skunk and Adil. Pakistani cricketers do polio campaigns in Pakistan aswell including Khyper Pakhtunkhwa. Afridi has long been an ambassador for polio eradication and led a campaign a couple of months back for it. Please check you facts before commenting.
@Dev: Pathetic! grow up man.
Nice. But they need to bowl out polio in their own country of Pakistan. Hope they are brave to go against the Taliban.
Commendable gesture, but why cant the same be done by them in Pakistan. Charity begins at home!
Though only this thing is highlighted , pakistani cricketers are involved in lot more charities than this. This is called sportsmen spirit.
The Pak players know only too well that it's much safer to bowl out polio in India than it is back home. I would dare them to do similar in Swabi and Fata. I think they would give it a wide or bowl a no ball, rather than lose their wicket!
@Raj: Agreed. But where were they when the polio campaign was started in Pakistan? Why did they not come forward at that time when six female workers were shot dead in Karachi? Paradoxically their silence is deafening. Civil society cannot remain asphyxiated by militants. Salams
Excellent gesture. But they should also do it in Pakistan. Please bowl out polio. Not the Indian team.
That is how good neighbors work!
Excellent
We appreciate the gesture! Thanks.
They should be given all opportunities to do things they can't do back home. If it means loosing a few cricket matches, so be it.
I appreciate this spirit wholeheartedly with enthusiasm.
Well done Pakistan, this the best gesture off the field.
Yes. I agree.
Very nice gesture from Pakistanis
That's an excellent gesture from the visiting team. Such move helps in creating a positive atmosphere.
