Alleged kidnapping: SHC orders appearance of detained officer in court
Petitioner alleges that his brother was abducted by five men wearing police caps.

The Sindh High Court ordered the provincial heads of police, Rangers and anti-corruption establishment on Thursday to produce a district executive officer of the education department on January 23, who was allegedly illegally detained by them,.
Headed by Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, the division bench also directed the prosecutor general and deputy attorney general to file comments by next date of hearing.
Ghulam Sarwar, the brother of detained officer, took the home secretary, Sindh police chief, Karachi police chief and anti-corruption establishment officials to the court.
The petitioner said that his brother, Abdul Jabbar Dayo, who was serving as the district executive officer Elementary, left for work on January 2 when around five people wearing police caps intercepted his car near the Urdu Science College and took him away.
In his petition, he alleged that the Aziz Bhatti police refused to register an abduction case. He asked the court to order police and anti-corruption department officials to produce the detainee along with record, if any, against him. He also sought registration of a criminal case against those found involved.
After the preliminary hearing, the bench issued notices to home secretary, IG police, Rangers Director General, SSP Gulshan-e-Iqbal, chairperson of the anti-corruption establishment, Citizens-Liaison Police Committee chief, prosecutor general and deputy attorney general for January 23. The provincial heads of law enforcement agencies were directed to produce the detainee on the same date.
