Master blaster: Jamshed is an exceptional talent, says ex-Pakistan captain
Jamshed scored 106 off 124 balls during Thursday's match, his second successive century in two matches.
ISLAMABAD:
Former Pakistan cricket captain Intikhab Alam on Thursday praised upcoming batsman Nasir Jamshed, who struck a second century consecutive One-Day International (ODI) century against India at the Eden Gardens.
"Jamshed is an injury prone guy but is an exceptional talent. I am really very pleased with him. We are very lucky to have him in the team," The Hindustan Times quoted Alam as saying.
"It is good to see him fulfilling the expectations that we all have from him," said the former captain as the Pakistani opener played some classy shots in the match.
Jamshed scored 106 off 124 balls before Ravinder Jadeja claimed his wicket. This was his second century of the series and the third consecutive three-figure knock against India and played a key role in setting the stage for Pakistan’s victory later in the day. No wonder then that he also picket up the Man-of-the-match award.
