Services had been suspended in 56 cities, including Lahore and Karachi.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), on the advise of the Interior Ministry ordered restoration of services in 18 areas of Punjab, six in Sindh, nine in Balochistan and six each in K-P and AJK.
Cellular services had also been suspended in Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Hangu and Bannu division at midnight. The rest of the provinces observed the suspension till 10pm.
In Punjab, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Jehlum and Jhang are the major areas which faced mobile services suspension, while the cities in Sindh are Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Nowshero Feroz and Khairpur.
Cities in Balochistan include Quetta, Jafferabad, Jhal Magsi, Bolan, Sibi and Naseerabad while Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Kotali, Rawalkot and Bagh are among major cities towards the north.

Would you re-explain the philosophy. Your disappointment would not change the illiterate ethics adopted in Pakistan in the name of Moharram , where we have fully analyzed how it is observed in Iraq and Iran.

I am not surprised by the reaction of some of the people here. If people in Pakistan can behead people from the neck area to cause maximum pain, why should it shock me to see the reaction from some of their followers.
There were 21 million people on the chehlum of Imam Hussain (a.s.) at Karbala. But at the same time people will complain if there are few Jalooses every year in Pakistan. Tell your brothers to stop using remote control bombs to target innocent people and then I can ask Govt of Pakistan to not suspend the cell phone service.

If suspension of social activities, religious processions, institutions, organizations, security forces and other such entities who have been the target of terrorists attacks can save lives, why not to do it all? Why not suspend them all? If any entity is being attacked, the solution for it is not to forsake such entity or activity, solution is to take security measures. If you go out from your home and there is a chance that you may be attacked so will you stop going out or take security measures?

Today on the occasion of Chehlum of Imam Husain the govrrnment has suspended the cellular services through out Pakistan Is is a small price to pay for the security and satety of the public.kthough it has caused inconveniece to the pubic but it is orth it The pre-emptive measurs taken by the decision of lhe ban It must be honored and appreciated in good spirit. Even if only one life has been saved it was a decision worth it

listen listen, hussein(ra) sacrificed his life for the sake of islam not for the sake to disturb the ordianry peoples life by stopping roads, bussiness, everyday thing. Hussein(ra) teachings was much higher than our socalled teaching of today. and by stopping the network of calls you dont no how many problems you have created for the ordinary citizen. Hussein(ra) shahadat was to bring islam, peace and prosperity to the people and not the opposite.
All religious processions, Sunni or Shia ought to be kept off the roads. These aren't festive public parades like in the west , but rather appeal to a very specific segment of the society. Book all public spaces, major parks, grounds what have you, put up tents and secure the compound area and do whatever you like within the confines. It not only saves lives , it saves the economy - at the end of the day we all have to get on with life and feed the mouths we are responsible for as priority number 1.
Well life has come to a stand still, blocking cellular service is the most ridiculous step the govt has taken and keeps taking over and over again. Why not just tell us to stay home and do absolutely nothing..

I think you have not read the statement of DG, ISPR, in which the Pakistan Army has declared that 'internal threat' is more serious than external threat.
You have no idea how families in the country are suffering whose loved ones have lost in the suicide blasts in the country.
As far as your concerned about my rituals are concerned, let me clear your vision that every "SYED" in the country is not Shia.
