Aitchison college: Shamim Khan to return as principal
Shamim Khan served as principal of the college from 1994 to 2008.

Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood has slimmed down the Aitchison College board of governors and reappointed Dr Shamim Saif Khan as principal. Incumbent principal Dr Muhammad Hafeez has resigned. According to a notification, the governor has reconstituted the board of governors and reduced its size from 21 to five members. Syed Babar Ali, Major General Asfandyar, Sardar Yar Muhammad, Yawar Dard and Hussain Yahya Afridi comprise the new board. A Governor’s House official said that Mehmood, a former Aitchisonian himself, had been concerned about reports of malpractices at the prestigious school. There had been increasing complaints of nepotism and lack of merit in admissions and lack of discipline in general at the school. Shamim Khan served as principal of the college from 1994 to 2008.
