Life Threats: Polio workers demand protection during next drive

Polio workers says they had been threatened with death while they carried out the immunisation campaign in December.

Polio workers in Multan have sought police protection in the wake of threats received during the latest anti-polio campaign that concluded in the third week of December.

Health Department officials said that a number of polio workers had submitted applications to their supervisors seeking security. They said they had been threatened with death while they carried out the immunisation campaign in December.
