Electricity disruptions: Power restored to WASA’s offices

The chief minister requested the federal minister for water and power to resolve the matter.

KARACHI:
The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) has restored electricity to offices of the Water and Sewerage Authority (Wasa) after the intervention of Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

The chief minister was informed about the acute water shortage in Hyderabad because of the disconnection of electricity to the water supply system. Hesco had disconnected power supply to Wasa because of unpaid electricity bills.

The chief minister requested the federal minister for water and power, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtiar, to resolve the matter. According to an official handout, the residents of Hyderabad are now being supplied water.
