Cricket: Barclays Bank win by 7 wickets

Barclays Bank beat HSBC by seven wickets in the 11th State Bank Governor’s Cup Inter Banks Cricket Tournament 2012-13 yesterday at the SBP Sports Complex North Nazimabad, Karachi.



Batting first, HSBC set a target of 146. In reply, Barclays Bank sailed home in 15.1 overs for the loss of just three wickets. Fahad Jabbar of Barclays Bank scored an unbeaten half century. In another match, SBP beat Bank Al Habib by 88 runs. SBP scored 191 for six in the first innings with Ahsan Ali top-scoring (90). In reply, Bank Al Habib could only manage 103 for eight in their allotted overs. Elsewhere, Bank Islami beat Burj Bank by 29 runs as Burj failed to chase a target of 239.
